Hilltop Angus is offering GAR New Market 7892 semen to Junior Angus Associations around the country to be used as a fundraising opportunity. Junior Angus Associations that request a donation will receive 10 semen straws to be sold at their next fundraiser. The receiving Junior Association is responsible for paying the shipping of the semen and will keep all proceeds. If the semen sells for $10 or $1000, thats money that the Jr Association keeps. It's impossible to lose money and easy to make it. The only thing we ask for is a return email with buyer name, buyer's hometown and price paid for the semen (and a PR plug at the event if you are feeling generous!).
This program was a great success at the North Carolina Angus Association Spring Fever Sale. The NC Junior Association sold the 10 donated semen straws for $300 and was the inspiration to make this a national program. OUR YOUTH ARE OUR FUTURE!
Shipping can be done three ways: 1) The association or buyer can pick up the straws from the farm in North Carolina or Angus Semen Service in Purcellville, VA., 2) The recipient organizitaion can pay for shipping or 3) Angus Semen Service can ship the semen to their door freight-collect where the buyer pays for shipping when the order arrives. Hilltop Angus is donating semen only, no shipping fees are included.
